oil temp sensor question

i got two 250 big reds and the one has an oil sensor but the other doesnt why? they arte the same year and same size engine so why does one have it and the other doesnt, also in the manual it says that the fourtrax was the only one that had a oil sensor. so why does my 250es big red have one.?

does a fourtrax have the same motor as the big red i thought they were different.?the bike doesnt have anywirering for the sensor it is just sittin there doint nothing but making it harder to remove mud.

That is because the same eng's went in to trk's and 4-trax . when they stopped makeing three wheelers they still made eng's. I can put a 300cc 4-trax eng. in my SX. every thing is the same. :D
