stock, dg, cobra, ???
how do you like it?
I had a cobra on my '85 350x and it sounded like an old fat guy farting. I hated it! :fire:

I run a stock pipe and its loud. I am thinking of saving for a Cobra but I dunno if its worth the price? my stock pipe is loud and sounds pretty good but its old and ugly.

I run a DG RCM Steel exhaust on my 225DR. It blats a little but it's worth the extra performance it gives the trike . Helps to let the motor breath.

the 250 has a dg pipe that has a good overall power band and it's got a fmf powercore2 that keeps it fairly quiet. the 200x has a 3 piece suppertrapp that's a little loud but really flows. i'm going to get a new ESR pipe for the 250 and i've heard that they have a 92db silencer that i would most likely get with the pipe.

All mine are stock. Keeping the sound level down to a point that the neighbors wont complain about. But i hope to some day add a super trapp to the 350x just to be able to tune the power and torque a bit.

Stock pipe and silencer on the 350x, the head pipe is brand new and I wire wheeled the old silencer down and repainted it flat black, it matches the color of the new head pipe exactly.

I like the DG pipe best, they make a high quality product with a great sound. The Super Trapp tends to leak black ooze and clog up between the discs when used on a 2stroke.:) ;)

I've got a Coffman's aluminum on my 350x. I think it was made by DG though- it looks exactly like a DG with a different name badge on it...
I want a NICE Supertrapp for it though!!!:(
i have a 1984 atc 200es. what pipe would you guys recomend. a cobra megaphone, cobra stalker, or a cobra utility series. i want power, but i want it to be quiet because im thinking about getting into hunting. i know the megaphone is out of the question, but i think i want a power pipe for the summer, then i will switch to the quiet one in the fall. what one is the best for power and for pissin off the neighbors.:fire: :fire: :fire:

if it has to be quiet the cobra utility series is pretty much the only way to go.

what is the best all out performance pipe for a 83 250r? i do not care who i pi$$ off :headbang:
I am looking at the Cobra Utility (with the spark arrestor) to keep my 200S quiet and legal for use on state property. ATVers are having a tuff time in CT and loud machine ticking off the non riders is not going to help us. Connecticut is a pretty liberal state with a lot of tree huggers. Does anyone have a Cobra Utility? How are they for sound compared to stock?

A tree hugger is one of those stupid hippies that ruins all of our fun. They are totally in love with nature. There the type that would say something like don't move that dead log its we're the toads live it would destroy there habitat etc. Another term i like is environmentalist wacko.

I looked at every option when I was buying an exhaust for my now sold 200ER. I ended up ordering a DG RCM exhaust for it and it was nice, one bend and then straight out!
When I got my 225DR it also needed a pipe so I got a DG again.
Couldn't bet the performance for the price!
