Wont shift gears???

I just bought a 200cc yamaha 3-wheeler from some guy at my work for 200.00 bucks, it has 45 minutes on a totally rebuilt engine and he didnt drive it for 2 months and it will shift up but wont shift down, any ideas on things to check on? i think its a dt or something like that 4-stroke

ear broke of shift shaft.

is that fixable, like i can jb weld it or does it need to be replaced or welded.

Can't weld harded steel. If it's that, i just bot one for a 250 Tri z. cost a hole 37. for the shift shaft an two seals the kickstart an shift shaft. from yamaha :headbang:
