Up the gear raisheo. X's go in two tooth jumps . look in to a 200s 3 an 4 gears they are higher.

If you are running the stock 12/40 gears. And you want to drop tire sizes that much. I would look at a 13 tooth front and maybe like a 42 tooth back.

But that is a big jump in tire size. Are you sure you want to go down that low. I do a lot of riding on ruff trails. But i want to drop down to a 20" tire. But i know that will drop the axle skidplate down 1". But a 18" tire will drop the axle 2". Will there be enough clearence for the conditions you will be riding in?.

yeah there will be enough clearance, i ran the same kind of tires a while back on my 250x and they did just fine, i dont ride any bad trails, its mostly dunes and back trails around the dunes, and climb a few hills over by my house, thanks for the nfo.....

Good deal. I figured you knew what you were doing. I wish i could remember what the formula was for figuring out the gears. I am more intereseted in wheel spinning power then topend. So i am gearing mine down. So i am wondering if you add a 13tooth upfront if that wouldnt be enough. How fast do you want to go with it?. Are you more interested in top end or power?.

its not that im moe nterested in top end its just that i know whats gonna happen if i dont gear it.. when i put 18's on my 250x it topped out at like 35 and thats just not what i want

try an 13 front and a 38 back or 14 front and stock back.
