does your family get involed with atcs, do they ride to?i have 4atvs and i'm the only one in my family that rides.my son who is 12 begged me to buy him a quad ,so i did.he rode it once and said he didn't like it .he said he wanted a dirt bike, so i got him a little honda 80.he rode it once and well they both sat in my shop till the tires went bad.so i sold them both. my wife won't do anything that will get dirt on her shoes.LOL but i have a 5yr old girl that thinks that if it has a motor and runs she has to be on it. i can't wait till she want her own. she even likes working on my bikes now. it's funny what they can do with a big wrench when your not looking. can you say "two piece sparkplug". well thats a little about my family.:D what about yours???

my family is big into them. my dad rides a big red. my grandmother rides on the back of a foreman when we go on 50+ mile rides. :headbang:
my little bro when he's not in Dallas bullriding (he's 13) comes over here and we can't pull him off the big red or the beartracker my dad also has.

My wife wont do anything that will get her dirty. So of course I come home covered in mud from head to toe, and I never have to worry about her even looking at them. No kids to teach how to get muddy yet.

I read something once that went like this: "A family that rides together stays together"!! Well, if I ever have a family, we WILL ride together!!

:bash: My brother and I got into 3wheelers back in the mid '80s as teenagers. It was a compromise with Mom who didn't/wouldn't let us get dirt bikes because our Dad was killed on a street bike in '79. Didn't take long for us to get hooked. Did a little racing at Budd's Creek (we live nearby), but as we got older things just kind of got parked. My trusty steed, an '86 350X sat in the back of the shed for about 10 years. Beginning of this year we decided to get back into it with our families. He bought an '85 350X for himself and a little PW50 dirt bike for his 4yo son. We drug my trike out of the shed and rebuilt it. She’s running great now. Last month I bought an '85 200X for my Daughter (12yo) and Stepson (13yo) to learn on. Now I've even got the wife learning to ride the 200X. Good to be on 3-wheels again!!

my family's riding started when i was about 3 witht he purchase of my z50, at 4 i got a 78 atc 90 which the whole family has rode, then we got a 84 200s, which my mother, father, and sisters still ride. my brother rode a 85 200x for about 3 years and sold it because he couldnt keep rear shocks in it. this past 2 years we have aquired a 125m, and 3 more 90's for parts, and had a 84 tecate that would fly, in the middle of all of it i have had numerous bikes, and now ride a 01 400ex, but my heart is still with the trikes. so i think my family is compleletly behind trikes.

Good post ace.
Our whole family is very dedicated to atc riding.
We all go out in a big pack. There is alot to see around here. And no better way to do it than on a trike's.
The wife thinks a pothole is a adventure,my 12 yr old boy wants to ride and own every atc made, the 13 yr old son is just plain nuts, and a very good trike rider. Me I just keep them running and ride whats left over:rolleyes: ................Troll

WOW you guys are truely the lucky ones! I believe that if you can get kids interested in good things than maybe they grow up with better morals.it may also keep them from Busten a cap in other school kids asses. wow sounds like i'm starting to preach. so I will stop. but if your family enjoys atcs too than you are the lucky ones.:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

Since this is up my alley.......About 90% of my family rides including my 76 year old grandma on her 400ex. My 3 uncles use to race in the bajas and one raced with team honda on an 86 250R works bike which he still owns. (untouched since his last race) One of my cousins races now with Temecula Motosports in the baja races (on a quad) and I've been riding only 3wheeler's since i was 3 years old. And we all still ride together in the dunes of SoCal.

My wife, oldest daughter and I ride......my youngest (6 yrs old) can ride the 110, but it's too big for her, she could really use a 90, or maybe a 70......any leads on a decent one would be greatly appreciated by her!
It is a great way to spend quality time with the family, we all love it! Especially at Christmas when we head for the SNOW! :yup: :headbang: :yup: :headbang: :D :D :D

well, my father first rode atrike in the late 50's my grandfather built one with a four stroke probably like a kohler or something belt drive the throttle controlled the tightness of the belt making it move(At least that is all the info i could get from eather one of them!!!)i wonder why?
After many many moons (early to mid 80's) he showed up one day from work with a 185s no shocks of any kind on it by that weekend i had my first over the handbars ride (u know where the trike just hits a big dip in a field and stops from full throttle quicker than your body does)then there was my 200s front shocks this time.sold them for way less than $100
MANY moons again, friend says give me 40 dollars i'll give you parts 200x 250r 2 truck loads one rollin chassie well sort of
MANY MANY MANY DOLLARS LATER 2 nice machines and enough parts to ride for many many moons
Better half loves to ride but the whole clutch thing doesn't work for her.(yup... she's blond)lol
i know if i can't find her at least a frame from an auto clutch soon she'll make me sell one of mine:(
