This god for saken set up they have on the back of the 1986 250r SUCKS:mad: I have been tring to get the old bearing out of the rear of my swing arm for about 3 days!! I have everything off but the friggen Disc where it is on some splines. I don't beleive that this has ever been apart (being the way it is coming off). There is no rust, but there is a little bit of build up in the splines i have wire brushed it and cleaned them as much as i possibly can. Now i have a manual and they say it should slide off :salute: YEAH RIGHT SLIDE OFF MY ASS!~!!!! But i was wondering if any one knew of a tool or some thing i could use to get this damn thing off my axle. Also i may be looking for a new brake disc. I think i warped the hell out of mine with a peice of 2x4 and a hammer trying to break it loose from the splines. Any info would be great thanks again guys :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Try heating them up. I just pulled the bearings out of my 200x/s. And i was beating the heck out of them trying to get them out. So i went and got my little propain torch. And heated up the axle housing to make it swell a little. And they popped right out with a couple of hits. But it sounds like yours are stuck to the axle also. Can you remove the seals from the shaft. And heat the center collar on the bearings to make it exspand off of the shaft. It will melt the plastic on the side of the bearing but it wont hurt anything. Just keep heating it slowly. And giving it a tap now and again to see if it is loose. And i think if you do that to both bearings at the same time. It should pop loose. Good luck.

The part i am on right now is tring to get the disc off the axle not the bearings. I need to get the disc off so i can slide the axle out of the housing. It the disc holder that is mounted to the axle that has splines so when you hit the breaks it stops the axle that is what is stuck. I just call my father and he has a slide hammer that i am going to try along with some heat. Thanks for the ideas on the bearings we will see how that goes when i can accually get in there. :p

Oh ok sorry about that i diddnt understand where you were at on it. Yep you should be able to heat that up also. Just heat the collar around the axle. While trying not to heat the axle up also. These things are a bugger when they weld them selfs together. But the heat will make it sweel and pull off easier. It is the only thing that seems to work on this old rusty stuff.

after you get it off with heat you'll have to replace the orings to keep the crap out
2x on brake mounting plate
1x small one that goes on the axle between the brake hub and the axle bearing
2x on the bearing carrier
it's too bad if you bent the disk because that's specific to the water pumpers and almost impossible to find a good used one. a new one from service is about$200 but rocky mountain has an EBC one for $90 fuzzy is right about heating the carrier , i put mine in a old toaster oven so i dont' damage the cast aluminum with a torch.

I have had it soked in mystery oil and have heated it as much as i can wihout causing damage to the axle. I accually have been hitting it so hard that the ears on the disc holder have bent so now i am into it for big bucks.... But i think i am going to break down and call the honda shop near my house to see how much it will cost them to do it. :bash: :bash: God things like this just make me want to through it away god i wish they made brand new three wheelers!!!!

If you've already bent the hub, why don't you just use a hacksaw and cut the hub down to the axle. Then it will come right off.
Hey Triken This is a pic of the parts that hold it to the axle. if your down to the two o-rings, # 20 You have to press the axle out or burn the o-rings out . or it will just bounce on the o-rings. http://adam.cheshire.net/~dads/pic/pic7.JPG
