Simple question
How do you adjust the idle on a 86 250R ???

It all depends on what brand or series carburetor your 250R has. If it still has the factory Keihin PJ series flat slide carb, simply turning the choke knob will adjust the idle.

None that I know of, but I'm unfamiliar with those. Anyone else? Anyone? Anyone?

RP, if your cylinder is a factory Honda unit that has been punched out to 300cc's, then there is no way to tell for sure without measuring the cylinder volume.

However, if it is an aftermarket cylinder, like the ones from CT Racing or ESR, it might have the cylinder volume molded into the side of the cylinder from the casting process. I've never taken a close-up look at one of those cylinders, so I don't know if it has that feature. The aftermarket cylinders usually look quite a bit different than the stock Honda units though. Let us know what you find out.
