HE HE HE HE !!!!! go ahead you will spend a hell of a lot more ,than if you just buy a cr500 and transplant it!!!!! AND with a cr500 you get a trans and a clutch made to handle the power ....you are talkin about a hinson basket for $500 ha ha ha ha ,,,,, thats outragious.. i still have the total stock clutch in my 250r and it is just fine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and its fast too

The HP numbers on the ESR 370 kit is 70-75 with low-mid porting.

The 370 kit costs $2759 and you supply a good bottom end.

The engine package includes:

Machine your cases for cylinder
Stroke your crank 4mm
New rod kit and piston
New billet clutch basket
New ESR/PRO-X ported cylinder
2-piece head (cast) with 2 domes
New ESR 2000 model reed block
New ESR 2000 model carbon fiber reeds
New intake manifold
New ESR 40.5 (gas) carburetor kit
ESR air filter
ESR center mount pipe and muffler (TRX not ATC)
ESR center mount pipe mounting kit
New main bearings, gaskets and seals
Reassemble complete engine

Optional stuff:

If you want a new factory ignition system add $449... Add another $124 for a 40.5mm Alky carb kit... Another $100 if you want a billet head... $45 for a billet exhaust flange... $124 for a new Honda crank (complete)... $400 for new Honda cases...

This kit will most likely kill a 500r'ed ATC... The 370 kit beats a Curtis Sparks built 690 Raptor.

By the way, this info and prices is right out of their 2000 catalog.

doubt it.... mind you that Raptor is a Yamahahahahaha and a thumper.

Given Honda's potency with the 250r. In stock form the R will smoke a banshee in the same, banshee with pipes will stay dead even.

Kasey's 500R is a two stroke, which not only revs higher but has more power due to power every full stroke rather than every other. Add to this that he had it ported and polished and you are looking @ one killer package.

Bottom line is that 370 may run near the 500, but more cc's will always prevale.

The 690 was hanging with big bore Shee's on Alky.

First, who did the porting and polishing on kasey's 500? Porting makes all the difference.

More cc's will always prevale? Some of the time, not all of the time. Take the 250r vs. Banshee... 250cc vs. 350cc... And mod for mod, a 250r will still stay ahead of the Banshee.

I still think the 370 will be ahead of a 500'ed ATC. And a PSI 425 would just plain kill one.

levi now your talkin about money,,, the more you spend the faster you go ,,,,,,, if you get a 370 kit, bolt it in without all the other $3000 hopup goodies to go with it ,, you will see dust trust me!!!! i have had the 500 in the dunes five times ,raced well over a hundred different bikes,, if your gonna hang with a 500 you better have 500!!!

kasey, I see you've never been up against a PSI 425 or a CPI built Shee... Or even a K&T built Shee... But, you will one day...

What have you actually raced? That you truthfully know, what mods were done, and what the dyno showed?

Mr. Kasey

kasey, in fact, yes, I have seen a 500 in action. I had a chance to buy one. The engine was sent to the U.S. to get built. The guy wanted $3500, he needed cash bad, but I didn't have $3500 to spend at the time. So now I'm kicking my ass I didn't buy it.

Caterpillar: Check out PSI Performance (http://www.psiperformance.com/) They make a 425.

CT motors are sh!t....along with Trinity...Mac Dizzy....etc.

I don't like fights in my forum, and I don't want to move this to fightclub. but I may have to.

Levi, you believe that those 'shee motor are fast because they told you they were. Not because you have actually seen them pull someone on a good sized dune...

********************************************************************

Also, one thing with big bore top ends on small bore bottom. THEY BREAK THINGS. and the engine always needs tuning every time you go riding. They are much more trouble than it is worth unless you only go in a straight line 2-3 time/day.

There are dunes in Alberta. Near Hinton. They're not as big as the ones in the U.S., but they're still respectable.

Dirtsqirt, I've seen the built Shee's in action. A few guys up here have them. They sent them out to get built. In fact, a friend of mine just sent his Shee engine to Duncan. There are a few guys up here who have $20,000 dumped into their Shee's. So what's this about me being from Canada?

Yeah, WHAT THE FUKK? That little comment about Canada REALLY pissed me off!! We have every riding terain known to man in Canada, and some fukken good riders too. Where do you think most of the U.S.'s talent comes from, HUH? Drag your sad sac ass up here, and I will personally give you some lessons in riding AND terrain!!:upyours: Just because our dollar has been devalued by the same assholes that are selling our beautiful country off piece by piece, don't think for even a second that some people can't afford to go all the way with their machines!:bash:

Ok guys, let's keep this topic on trikes and not countries. 'squirt, it's ok if people argue about what motor is better here as long as it is kept CIVIL.

If you want to bash Canada or make snide remarks then leave that to the Fight Club. I've edited out the comments that don't belong in here from EVERYONE's posts and left another copy of the original thread in the fight club for comparison (or to pick up on the fighting where it IS being cut off in here).

thanks guys and don't forget, it's us against the QUADS first
