84 200s to a 200x

how easy can i take my 200s motor and put it into an 84 200x

It is a direct swap. The engine mounts all line up. We did that to a friends 200X.

ejc402 well how did your friends 200x run after? Much slower?

I put a 200s motor in a 200x frame. it was real easy. i used the 200x motor mounts and bolted it up. mine ran very well. it wasn't any slower than before with the x motor in it. the only problem i had with the swap was the stator coil wires weren't long enough and the exhaust was a little different. i also used the x carb with it but had to change the intake.

It ran about the same with the X carb and exhaust., but a little slower on the 200S car.
