air screw question

my book says 1-3/4 turns from closed. i have every upgrade without going into the engine.
if i turn the screw more open from where im at im letting IN more air?
so if i need to compensate for my upgrades should i let in more?
just till i can pop the throttle and it doesnt miss or bog right

it is amazing i am at the one focal point when this trike is running absolutely perfect. i have tuned and tweeked it for a long time.
I have seen every internal part...and replaced the very few things
that needed it. rigged and threadlocked whatever rattled loose and have reinforced plastics that chronically crack whith everything but duct tape. Next weekend will be the real test. 3 days of hard riding. If i make it back intact I will prase the name of Honda and never stray. Thanks for the info!
