how hard it it to upgrade a carb on the 350X? what are the recommended carbs for this. thanks for any help. Tim

a 400ex carb will fit on, should give some improvement, if you have the money a fcr39 would be the best, but the 400ex carb is a good uprade.

would i still be able to use the airbox with either of these carbs?

You might run into problems fitting a FCR in the 350x. Possible interference with the gas tank.

Just a thought before someone make's a hefty ($$) purchase like that.

38mm Mikuni roundslide will work, with new intake boot and throttle cable from Motion Pro. Should be less $$$ than that FCR closed for too. Works with stock airbox too, btw.
