I am getting my parts back form the shop tonight and was wondering if anyone has any tiips for reassembing the tope end of my '83 200x. The cylinder has been bored and I will be installing a new webcam and a vavle spring kit. I want to make sure I dont sieze the motor on intail startup so any tips will be a big help. Here is a link to the full write up with pics at 3WW.

make sure the little rubber plug in the head is installed so oil circulates.
check that the valves move thru the guides freely without any binding/ do this without the seals installed
put the seals on only for final assy. not for checking
use plenty of grey moly or that red loctite crap to lube the top end and be sure to keep the motor revving about 2500rpm like they tell you so you don't wipe the cam.

i forgot
clean the head and jug very good, get a bottle brush and run it thru the ports and wipe the bore with a white oiled cloth until it comes out clean.
very few shops hand you a clean part back

I use the Honda moly paste on the cam. I use assembly lube (spray can styly) on piston and cylinder wall. If the engne will not sit for awhile after putting together, I would just use 10-40 oil on everything else. If might be sitting for awhile, Then use assembly lube on everything.
As for the valves. MAKE SURE YOU LAP THE VALVES. Make sure they seat. If not you will have a riugh running engine (if it starts).Been there done that..lol
The most important rule....CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!
Good luck
