I need to make my quad go faster!

i need to mae my quad faster. it is a yamaha big bear with a 700cc Suzuki Madura motorcycle engine and want it to put out more hp. please help!:headbang:

you need part # 0u812, it mounts to the front of your quad,looks like a tow strap.
now just find any three wheeler of choice,any thing over 90cc's will pull that thing in to warp speed.

well i sugest you go to a suzuki engine builder ... that engine has nothing to do with 3wheelers its a street bike engine,,,,

I'll take pity on him, we're all newbies sometimes, it wasn't that many years ago that I was trying to make a Bayou 220 quad keep up with my trike riding buddies.

The first thing which will make anything faster is to remove weight. Take off any racks, winch, saddlebags, etc. If you're really serious about it you can even change-out your wheels for an aluminum set, maybe get some lighter tires (not mud) which will help as well. Changing to an open filament K&N air filter (or the like) may also make a difference.

Beyond that you'd have to find-out if anyone is making aftermarket gears with a diffrent ratio or hotter cam.

I'll also suggest saving your pennies for a trike. Both have their arguments for and against, plus both have place where they excel; Personally if I'm planning a trip to the mountains to ride fire trails I leave both my 250R's at home and put the Bayou in my truck, likewise if I'm going to the desert the quad stays home and one (or both) of the trikes go.

hey guys i'm sorry about dissing your trikes i know they are awsome i used to have two 250r's and they were sweet. but my quad is real and as soon as i get some pics of it on my computer i'l lpost them ok! Now lets all just be friends and get out there and ride no matter how many wheels we've got!
