Need some help please. I recently traded "dads" my van for his Tri Z. When he brought it here, it took forever to get it running. He said it needed a carb cleaning. Well It still wont start. I have done the following: changed the gas/oil, replaced the spark plug(have spark) checked the fuel pump( it works) tried feeding gas directly to the carb, didnt work. Any help at all would be great. Thank you all in advance!

I don't know what to tell ya man. Although my Tri-Z runs a little crappy, the one thing it's never been hard to do is start! I'd say you've definitely got carburetion issues though. Will fuel come out of the drain bowl (so you know gas is getting TO the carb)?? What mix ratio are you using? Are you using the right spark plug?

Well, it is now running. Thanks goes out to "dads" for his help. It had some carb issues that he had taken care of. I am now on the lookout for some aftermarket performance goodies. I plan on having this in top running shape A.S.A.P.

Here is a pic when I first got it a few weeks ago. Since, I have bought a K&N air filter, and Boyeson Reeds. I have also ordered and still waiting on a new flame seatcover, a DG pipe and silencer, and little odds and ends.

Did you notice any difference with the reeds? How hard were they to install?
Did you order the chrome DG pipe? I'm planning on ordering one of those for mine. Not sure if I'll replace the silencer too or just run the Answer that I've got. I found the pipe online for about $190- have you seen it cheaper?
Your Z looks sharp man!

I have the chrome one and it sounds sweet.
