On my 85 250r...to turn the needle up to notches, cus its getting to much fuel and not enough air.

they maybe talking about raising the needle for the main jet, but raising it will only increase the fuel and make it richer. to lean it out (over 1/4 throttle)you would have to lower the needle.

remove the top of the carb. the slide has a needle coming out the bottom of it that allows gas to flow. what you need to do is remove the cable and then remove the needle. there is a clip on it at the top. remove the clip and move it up a notch or two to lean out the bike. be sure to read the plug after a full throtle run to be sure you are not running lean.

it did not help mine. i had to drop2 jet sizes but it is a good starting point. read the article in the teck section. it is a big help.

did it run any better?
yes as a matter of fact it did, it doesnt run rich now and the plug doesnt foul out anymore, thanx for all the help.
