are they worth the money? do they NEED to be on a stroker engine?

stick with stock or go with the ESR cr250 ign. an ignition change is never "needed" unless it isn't working properly. The benefit of the pvl is the ability to adjust spark and timing (atleast you can on the digital unit)

well and the *flywheel* is ALOT lighter, and my bike doesnt have an igniton on it...

I've heard nothing but good things about the ESR cr250 unit, comparably priced too. With either aftermarket unit you lose the ability to use lights, just remember this.
