Chain wheels?!?!? If it's sprockets that you are looking for, try www.denniskirk.com

Oh, and look at the 520 O-ring chains.

Smaller front / larger rear more power less speed
Larger front / smaller rear less power more speed
Just a bit of info

you would do better changing tire sire insted of sprockets.
smaller tire quicker take off lower top speed. bigger tires slower take off higher top speed. only go with 1 in. differance.

i just want more low end for climing. i also have no low end at all on my wifes trike. that is because it is a 200x w/a 200s motor i put in it. that conversion took all the low end away. anyone who has doen this knows exactly what i mean. it wont clime wortha sh!t.
KASEY, i do have a bike b/g but they also call it a chainwheel on
renthal's websight. so i'll call it a sprocket from now on, i always have but only wrote that do to the websight i had just been to.
i realy need to know where to get these at! any help?

The problem with changeing sprockets is fineding one that will fit with the number of teeth you need.

for sprockets shop on http://www.rockymountainatv.com

they sell steel sprockets from Primary Drive, some of the best IMHO. VERY resonably priced too. (about $10/front, $15 or so rear)

check em out.. and RMATV's cust. service is top notch, shipping is rather quick and resonable also.

Hey guys, tell me more about losing your bottom end doing that conversion. I'm planning a 200s transplant procedure on my x frame so I'm curious. Is it because of the stock sprocket size on the rear axle?

Thanks,
Jake

the 200x has a more agressive cam, i would think that is where the difference is. the 200x does have a larger front sprocket but that can be changed easy. does anybody know if the internal gearing is different between the 2 engines? i thought the carb, cam and clutch were the only major differences in the engine.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but are the cams interchangeable? Directs swap?

that's not a stupid question, but it's a common upgrade. the swapping the cam and carb to a 200x are easy upgrades for a 185 or 200 that a lot of people. i hope to have the time to do it someday myself.

i'm not to sure but it feels to me like the internal gearing IS different. sooo should i change the cam also? i still have the old 200x motor. jakerush, there is a little mor to the conversion to but not to bad. you will need to mod. the brake pedal as the x motor has a place for it and the s one doesnt. i just made one at work and mounted it on the foot peg stub. tell me if you want and i'l post a pic. on the pics. section.

Hey Wild,

Yeah, thanks, that would be great if you could post a pic. I talked with Ladano the other day and bought some parts from him(excellent guy to deal with by the way) and he showed me the brake pedal detail. I guess i never thought about the pedal mounting onto the kickstarter assembly/shaft.

Sorry to ask the same question twice but is it a case where I can track down an x cam and either split the cases and drop it in my self of send it to a shop. I was just wondering if the one part was all I needed?

Thanks for all ya'lls help.

Jake

to change the cam all you have to do is take off the valve cover. very easy. you'll probably have to take the engine out of the frame but that's easy enough too.

jake, here are some pics i found of the brake convertion. i just cut a short piece of pipe that fit behind the foot peg, on the little round extention where the front foot peg bolt goes in. then i ran a short piece of plate off of that with a 1/4 hole in it and made a connector rod . then i took a piece of 1/2 " pipe and bent it to the shape i need and put a foot plate on it and put some little tack welds on the plate for "antislip". welded it all together after checking to make sure it would all work and painted it red and reinstalled it. these pics are not to clear. sorry but they are all i got for now till the truck is out of the way. if you realy look close i think you can see what i did though.
