What meters the fuel going into the combustion chamber during startup? I have gone a step leaner on the clip and also went leaner on the pilot screw. The motor will only start if it is warm. If I can find out why the plug is getting wet all the time I might be able to slove the problem.. Anyone??

according to this

the air screw (slow jet) controls it. good luck!

if your absolutely sure the carb is clean and your pilot jet isn't plugged at all i'd look at ignition. at low rpm's a gimp spark might give you this problem. check your rotor to trigger gap and clean the ground wire near the coil. if you've painted the frame/motor make sure to clean the motor mount surfaces so you get a good chassis to motor connection.

First are you running a NGK or nippo plug? I've had problems with other brands before. Next, Try a new plug. If already done that, check air cleaner. If dirty may be putting to much fuel. Check to see if float is hanging. If it runs ok hot, Spark usually goes away hot. The needle will not make a diffrence at idle. Just the pilot screw. Try starting cold all choke no gas... Or 3/4 choke 1/4 gas.
