I bet you got a little dirty with them rear fenders LOL. Have you switched topends. I notice in the picture that it is still running the 200s cyl and head?. Have any current photos of the work you have done on it so far?.

LOL i jumped the gun before you got the other picture up. You went .030 over? do you have any trouble pulling it over with the pull start. What other changes have you made to the top end?.

ChrisPerkins250r

One of the biggest proformance hopups is to put a 200x cam in it. Other wise the 200x head has a little bigger intake vlave and the 200x ran a 24mm carb instead of a 22mm. I done them all to mine. But By far the most noticeable one was putting the 200x cam in before i pulled the motor and switched the whole top end over to a 200x. It adds about three times the power range to the motor. And will bolt right in to your 200s head. You dont even need to pull the motor to do it. Or need any gaskets. Just lift the valve cover up and slide the old cam out and the new one in. And put some silicone gasket maker around the valve cover and bolt it back down. So maybe keep your eyes out for a used cam. And eventually i would recommend doing all the mods(the 24mm carb 200x head&cyl) And trust me when i say you would never beleive that 200s motor could put out so much power.

Does your head have the decompression lever to make it easier to start?. And i dont have the headlight i busted up mine for the 200x so i stold mine off of my 350x. It had a small crack in it. And i wanted to get a new one for my 350x. But if you want one for yours. Exspect to pay around $125.00 for a good complete unit.

Its looking real sweet. I noticed the kawi front fender LOL. Hey what ever works right!.

The cam would give it more low end and make you not miss the manual clutch so much. The biggest thing with the cam is to make sure it isnt pitted from the rust. You can use emery cloth on it(very very fine sand paper) To shine it up. And what gearing are you running?. Are you useing the 200x 12/40 setup?. Or do you still have the 11tooth front sprocket on the engine?.

ChrisPerkins250r
06-12-2002, 03:07 PM
i guess is still got the 11 on the front unless the guy before me changed it, its 11/40 thats asuming no one has ever changed it but im gonna go out and count the teeth later so i can see what i need to do to get my top end back after those 18 inch trekkers

ChrisPerkins250r

06-13-2002, 03:45 AM

ChrisPerkins250r
06-13-2002, 07:31 AM
the dunes are in central louisiana in rapides parish.. close to alexandria in a pisshole called forest hill, they got a good place to ride out there, lots of drag racing goes on with the hi-po quads, you dont see many trikes racing with the big boys except one guy i know of named ronnie, he rides an 86 250r and weighs maybe 130 so he beats alotta banshees and raptoids n stuff.... there are alotta trails inthe back part of the dunes that i like to ride.. hek i even used to take ,my go kart out there...

ChrisPerkins250r
06-13-2002, 07:38 AM
i thouht yall mite wanna see.. its a real nice trike.. he had a bad wreck ewith a banshee a few weeks before that pic... thats a loner axle and forks on the trike now, his cousin on a banshee jumped a hil and landed half way on the trike, luckily no one was hurt.... better to hurt the trike then the rider, right?
