have just bought 83 200x. what next?

hey guys im new to this so bear with me. heres the situation:

i just bought an 83 honda 200x from a buddy of mine. its in pretty mint shape, and maxxes out at about 90 km. im not the most mechanical person in the world, but my goal is to make it loud, faster, and good looking. i want to go to the honda warehouse near my place to see if they can order black plastic for it, because that would look slick. im also considering boring it out, an FMF exhaust setup, and a uni air filter. but right now, im open to suggestions.

I don't think Fmf makes an exhaust for it.
Cobra and Dg do.
But you said you wanted power ...
You will never see the words cobra and Dg in the same sentence as "power"

you can have someone port the head, install a bigger cam, high compression piston (don't overbore just for power), bigger carb. you can also regear for more top speed at the expense of acceleration.

I'm running a bassani exhaust, supposed to rev quicker, less back pressure. Its better than the cobra on my last one. And its loud as hell.

the next logical step...a 350X. modifying a 21 year old 200X is not worth the hassle when a stock 350X is better in every aspect. keep[ the 200X stock bring back to 100% mechanical condition before anything else and enjoy it for what it is...a beginer/novice level sport ATC. i don't mean to burst your bubble but 200X motors don't last long when modified.

If you can find a supertrapp exhaust w/ 6 disks.
The whole article is in an issue of 3&4 Wheel action from 9/96,I think i found it in this site a while ago.
It tells about a DG cam upgrade and the use of the 26mm carb from the XR200R(stock is 24MM).If you can find a 27MM DG carb is also mentioned.
See if you can find that 3&4 wheel action from September of 1996
The header on it is TOP ATC200X MODS.
