has anyone used a plastic welder to repair their fenders? how well did it work? how does it look after the repair? and where can i get a cheap one?(if there is such a thing)

last year in high school(11th grade) we had a plastic welder in the tech lab, a kid welded his yz426 front fender back together and it worked but it didnt look the best, there not very cheap, if you want to put your fenders back together use a rivet gun with some sheet metal and paint the rivets the same color as your plastic.

Here is a link to a inexpensive ATV plastic welder. I bought one and played with the trashed fender on my 250sx. The result is not pretty, but it is strong. I carry it in my trike parts box I take riding, because a little crack will become a big crack. Check out the rest of this company's web site for other neat stuff

Plastic welders don't work! Go to : http://www.3wheeler.org/tech/FenderRepair/FenderRepair.html and you will see learn how to do a much better repair than a plastic welder ans it is FAILPROOF!!

I have it done to my 300ex's front plastic, It looks great!
When i got it done i sanded it down a bit and now you can't even notice it.
