Got my dg for my 86 350x

Yep i got the aluminum rcm series with the header on the ole 86 today. I raced it against my 85 with the supper t and the 86 killed it. The bikes are bolth stock exept the pipes , they bolth have the same gearing and tires so i would say the dg puts out way more power i had 3 bike lenghts over the 85 on a 100 yd straight.:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: yep the 86 smashed my 85:bash:

3 TRIKE LENGHTS IN 100 YDS,,,,, that is not a kill,,,,,,, that difference could be rear tire air pressure difference ,,, jetting or rider weight,,, lol!!!!:D :D :D :D

oh by the way i am not a fan of DG pipes!!!! look at this test of pipes,,,,hmmmm bottom of the barrel?

while i am not a FAN of DG pipes a test for a 400EX pipe has little relevence to a 350X

YEAH ,, whatever,,, it tells me that dg spends way less time trying to build a pipe that actually makes hp and not just noise!!!!!
and that would be the same for EVERY pipe for all makes,,,,,
so it is RELATIVE TO THE 350X!!!!!!! so put that in your PIPE and smoke it!!!!!!

Can you really gain speed from changing exghaust? I used to think so, but now I"m not so sure, all my trikes rev out fine in 6th gear, so that tells me that to go faster I'd need bigger tires, or a change of gearing.

Try putting the stock back on the '86 and then race.

jesse you are right about pipe not changing speed,,, it won't,,, a stock engine will hit the rev limiter with a stock pipe it might take a split second longer but it will ,,, so if your on the rev limiter there is no way to go faster,,, even with a different pipe,,,,

i know top speed wont change. but gettin there is faster
