View Full Version : atc70 throttle cable

Well, after countless searches...I give. If the answer is here, I can't find it.
On the 70, at the handlebar, where the throttle cable enters the housing there should be some sort of "C" clip I'm assuming, to hold the cable in place. Mine seems to be missing. There is a distorted rubber grommet that incases the wiring harness for the on/off switch, but other than that there's nothing...just the cable going into the housing. Can anyone tell me what I am missing, and/or where I might find it?

yeah its a little rubber grommit like the one on the wires,,,, very simple thats all,,,,,,,,,,,

It's just a rubber grommet..not a "C" clip of any sort? The throttle cable gets pulled into the housing when you depress the throttle.....I can't believe just a grommet would hold it???

the carb return spring holds it in ,,the grommit keeps the junk out,,,,,,,

yeah Brian I have it...Come and get it. Oh its attached to the cable, and housing. It from a bad on/off switch.
Oh this reminds me, I completely gutted, tore down, and/or shredded one 70....Now before everyone start crying it provided for 2 70's so shadup...but I have a alot of tiny weird or otherwise breakable pieces, from different parts that if anyone else needs,,, hollar now otherwise when I finish ebay the good stuff it will be cleaned out for my next..umm surgery...I need my desk back lol...(you know all the ticky tacky stuff you cant ebay)

woohoo!!!! Thanks!!! I think this is the last thing I need for her trike. Although that shiney new front fender sticks out like a sore thumb....I may have to "dull" it....sounds easier than shining the rear! :lmao: :lmao:

well, if yer cleaning out....maybe I'll see what you want to get rid of...you know, the pitily stuff I'll likely need in the future...I plan to keep this 70 long after she outgrows it......I'll make you an offer on the whole shabang....:thumbsup:
