I think they are about the same. The DG might be slightly better. But i would bet they are both going to be very loud.

I have a DG RCM on my '85 200X now, but I'm looking for something a little less LOUD. It sounds great, but I know it's gotta be driving the "non-atv'er's" around me absolutely nuts. It's very loud, even after I welded a homemade baffle in there! I'm keeping it for now until I have the money for a new system, and that will probably be either a SuperTrapp, White Bros. or a Cobra. Still debating...
From what I hear the SuperTrapp is going to be the quietest.
Good luck!

I asked a similar question on 3wheelerworld.com not too long ago and I was informed by a wise fellow who goes by the name of MR ATC that DG has used Cobra in the past (and possibly present/future??) to build their pipes, so the design between the 2 manufacturers is more than likely not very much different...
Just thought that might help your decision a little...

if you want performance, dg, might be louder, but from my experience, the dg's are a better pipe than the cobra, if price is a concern than the cobra would be great, there is not alot of differance in the performance, but if your running your machine almost wide open all the time, as i am, you can tell a differance, it also matters where you want your power at, most dg's are mid to top end and i think the cobra is more bottom end, but i could be completely wrong:shrug: as far as sound, i think they will be close to each other as being loud or not, almost all pipes are louder than stockers, but thats a price you pay for performance.

i have a dg rcm, i paid 100 bucks straight up for the black version out of dennis kirk and i love it, i have seen cobra pipes in action and dont really like them so the cobra wasnt really in my choices, the dg was fairly cheap and it sounds great and makes good power so im happy with it
