tri-z/warrior shock advice needed

hoping some1 can at least give there opinion on this!!looking in the manual for the tri-z the rear shock spring length is minimum-8.68 inch and maximum 9-27 inch.the warrior shock is 7.9 inch.

even though its only a small difference would this effect the overall handling much?

Only thing i can see is the ride mite be a little siffer because of the shorter through. And will put the front a little higher. it will wheeley a little quicker :)
