OK i have a 1983 yamaha 225 shaft drive.(got it for $75 hehe) The gears where the shaft connect to the engine are all F-ed up. I have to take the swing arm off or the engine out and im assuming taking the swingarm offf would be easier.(got it ALMOST off). BUT the shaft acts as part of the swingarm and i cant figure out how that swingarm bolt is on there, because that bolt cant go through the shaft. I got the nutz off it but i dont know how that bolt comes off????????????????????/Im really confused......SOMEBODY HELP ME

you may have to save this and zoom in on it views ok then!!
You will need a hint :D I have one for you . if your pulling the gear head off the eng. don't . there is a nut on the shaft that runs through the trany under the right cover . if you pull the shaft you will loss half your trany gears inside. and if the parts are like handa you can't buy thr gears in the head. you can get the hole head for 700.00  that is why you got it for 75. i guess

I went through a bit of hell when I had my swing arm out. I had to run a tap through the frame after I got the pins out. When your putting it back together tighten the drive side pin first until it bottems out and then snug it up on the other side.
