The wrist pin is supposed to move in the piston, but is pressed into the rod. Take it to a machine shop.

your new piston should come with a new wrist pin, so I wouldnt worry to much about damaging the one that is stuck. I usually can drive it out with a flat blade screwdriver and the palm of my hand. do NOT beat on it with a hammer, this could damage your lower bearings or possible bend your connecting rod. you can also buy wrist pin pullers, you local dealer or maybe even an auto parts store will carry them. good luck. ----Joe

I have heard that alot of the bigger auto parts stores are carrying specialty tools that can be rented for cheap or free (with a deposit of course). Nice for those times you need a sixty dollar tool that you may use once or twice.

It sounds like you need a pair of snap-ring pliers. I woul recommend just buying a pair, their readily available from Sears or most of the larger parts stores (I got mine at Kragen a few years back).
Their pretty handy, you'll also need them when you re-build your front forks.
