Heavy Duty Shock or Springs

Hello All,
I am looking for a suspension built for a 350lb rider that would bolt to a 250sx. Basically I am looking to raise the rear of the trike so I am not bottoming out when I hit bumps and jumps. Does anyone know where I could find such an animal and what I should expect to pay? Do I need a shock, or will a heavy duty spring work? I have no clue as to what I need here. I am looking to restore my trike completely from the frame up and set it up properly for a larger rider.

as for lifting it that would be an impractical solution (too much money) but you can buy heavy duty springs and custom shocks that would solve your problem.

springs are around 75.00 and shocks range from 150.00-650.00

is there suck thign as a new spring or heavier spring for a 200x?

you can get heavier/stiffer springs for just about every bike including the 200x. it will be easier to find one for yours than an SX

I found a heavy duty spring for my sx at www.bikebandit.com they may carry others, I did not check.

I have some stiffer Progressive springs I am going to put on my 85 250R this summer. I hope it helps since I am 6'2" and 215lbs.

i would also consider going to a heavier oil weight. in my 86 i run the same springs with 15wt oil. i weigh 175lbs. you'll want to experiment with the height untill you find a good setting
