well im gonna put my dirtbike on ebay soon, but first i just wanna tune it up, and it has one problem that it has had for about a year. when the engine is cold and i first start it up i put the clutch in and shift it into first... and it goes into gear while im still holding the clutch and it stalls of course ...wtf? i think that i have let my friends who are inexperienced with a clutch ride it too many times:doh: but the problem clears up once it warms up for a couple minutes. what i've done to get around this problem is i just push with my feet to get rolling and then i shift it and its a bit jerky but i ride it around and like i said once its warmed up it shifts perfectly fine, just like it should. what could be the problem?? i really hope that i don't need a new clutch or have to tear apart the crank case coz i dont wanna put anymore money into this bike and i need to save up for a truck:rolleyes:

it sounds like your clutch disc are sticking together. Make sure free play is right....If so...you might have to put in just the fibers...What weight oil do you use? What is the temp outside?Maybe this helps....2 stroke or four?

how often has the oil been changed????? i say drain the oil put some kerosene in it and fire it up for for a minute while pulling the clutch in it should clean the gunk out drain refill with new oil and it should be good!!
