put a dirty air cleaner on ,,plug up the pipe with carbon,,, and dump a little water in the gas tank,,, then you might have the baddest runnin 200s around,,,,, :shrug:

if you want to build a radical 200s you'll need a LOT of money. set a budget limit them i'll tell you how best to spend it

ok, all JOKING aside... :nono:

For the baddest 200s around get a 200x engine, bigger cam (webcam, megacycle?, or powroll?), 22-4mm carb, pipe of your choice, ditch the airbox (only ifyou don't go near mud or water).

just how bad do you want it to be?

get the xr200 motor with the 6 speed transmission, then build that. cam,valve springs, hi comp piston, bigger valves, port and polish head, bigger carb, exhaust, k&n, no airbox or just take off the airbox lid,have the flywheel lightened, run it on alcohol, add some nitrous, stroke it, good clutch, get a adj cam sprocket and do some dyno tuning, get the right gearing, make sure the carb is jetted right and the timing is good. after doing all that some thing should be done about the crank and rod, they are not made for a lot of power.

my guess is a lot about $3000. depends on who builds it and how good the motor is to start with.

For $3,000 plus the original cost of the 200S you could buy TWO bada$$ 350X's!!!!!! :thumbsup:

guys cmon...he prolly hasa limit of like 600...id get a new pipe of ur choice ...there all pretty good...and a uni air filter to start with..take off the air box but keep the clamp on uni...get ne w valve springs and a hig comp piston...thats about 400...then maybe bigger jets since u prolly have a 22mm on it already ..i got a 22mm keihin on my 185s that came with it ...any way..bigger jets,uni air filter (clamp on), valve springs (perferably titanium), pipe, hig comp piston, and port and polish if ur budget is 1000...w/o the port and polish it would cost about 600....o ya and a new cam...(webcam, powroll)...thats about 6-800

ok on my 200x which is close to the same motor you are working on here is what i did and it made a night and day difference. 12:1 piston, web cam valvesprings and ti retainers, new rocker arms, cam gear, cam chain, i ported the head my self, laped the valves, bigger intake and carb (stock off a 250x but not recomended had to do major mods to get it to fit) uni air filer no airbox lid, dg exhaust, new clutch and heavy duty springs, all new gaskets o-rings and seals and some small stuff that i either broke or lost. i never added it all up but i would guess i am close to $700. i had the exhaust and air filter and carb to start with. when you take your motor apart you might be surprized what you find. the rod and crank might need to be replaced, you could have some gears in the tranny that need replaces and so on. just remember it will cost you more than you first think.

THIS IS A REAL WIDE OPEN QUESTION,,, with a unsuspended trike the 200s has a pretty good amount of power ,, to make it the baddest running 200's around these guys are right it could run into the thousands of dollars easy,,, then you have a powerful unsuspended trike which is not a very good combo,,, then you might as well spend another thousand to suspend it so you won;t kill yourself,, there gets to be a point of diminishing returns here,,, your way better off looking for a 200x or a 250sx, which is a way better base trike to start with ,, :D :D :D
