I want to know what performance mods are the best bang for the buck. I have a 86R and I want to increase the low to mid range. Right now it is mostly stock it has some kind of FMF silencer and a k&n airfilter on it. I know for more low end power i could change the sproket but i really dont want it to effect the top end speed. I was thinking maybe a lightweight flywheel, and maybe the CR ignition thing. They dont seem to be to expesive but im not to sure how they will effect it. I want to get a fatty pipe for it, I think that will help but I really dont know much about it all. What would you all suggest are the best, less expensive performance mods that could be done without hurting the reliability.
Thank you.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the main drawback on the CR ignition is the lack of a lighting coil so you won't have any head/tail lights. Ricksy Stator sells a lightened flywheel which I can get a decent price on. A good porting job (by someone who knows what they're doing) will really wake things up as will a bigger carb.

without getting to spendy,,, get yourself a fmf pipe ,, put a 89 cr250 headgasket for a little more compression,,, that will give your lowend a boost ,,,

boyeseen rad valves are also a good upgrade for low to mid boost.

Talked to riky stator today, his lightwieght flywheel is $125.00. Think that will get you reved up quicker. The cr ignition I have orderd comes with one.
