What is the deciding factor in whether you Bore a cylinder or just hone it and put in the same size piston again. Below are some pics of my Tri-Z head/cyl etc... What can I learn from them? Background info, it was overheating, tried to make it back to staging area, it didn't make it, compression was too low to restart, running Maxima Castor 927 oil mixed at 32:1, UNI filter, DG pipe & silencer.
Here are a couple pics of the cylinder, what is the white looking stuff, aluminum? antifreeze???

Here are some pics of the piston, it had pitting in the middle, and the edge by the exhaust port was worn down.

Is this amount of discoloration on the underside telling me I need to go up on the jetting?
