Got this in the mail today. Anyone with information please respond. I have only seen one of these in person before and that was a couple weeks ago. I have seen pics of them before and they are always white, did they come that way? I thought I was buying one for an 86 but it turns out its an 85 model from the brake stay mount. I bought this sight unseen. I don't mind that its for an 85, thats what im building anyway.

Its got a good sized dent you can see in the pic I will have to fix. Also, the two inserts are missing where the strut mounts, I am hoping the guy I bought it from can locate them, is there anywhere to order these new or anyone got a couple spares laying around? I will have to have them made if I cant locate any, are they made of steel or aluminum?

Should I refinish this in white like everyone else has? I was thinking chrome, most of my bike is going to be chrome except for the frame which is already powder coated white.

Did some government work today and worked out every dent I could find in the swingarm, removed the needle bearings and its almost ready for finishing once I finish blasting it. It took me about 3 hours to work out the dents, I ended up pulling most of the dent out by the rear sprocket by welding a bolt inside the dent and using a piece of half inch flat stock as leverage. I had a hole in the flat stock and put a nut on the bolt and wrenched most of the dent out. I filled the rest of the dent with short welds to keep the heat down. Heres a couple more pics of the work in progress.

I am making the decals in about 2 weeks. I have heard that they had the 2 on the sides and also a smaller version on the rear of the swingarm, is this correct?

From the ones I've seen on the letters are in a really cool cursive print. Get some pics of the ones I might get some from ya!

I was wondering about that, when I took off some of the paint I was finding red decals and they were not in cursive print.
