Welp, i've been tryin to get the klt to run decently the past couple of days now, but its kinda hard to when i have no pull start and i have to roll it down a hill everytime i wanna try to start it. i've gotten it to start up a couple of times but it seams to have no torque at all even in first gear. i'll start out rolling down the road in first and it starts up, smokes a bit and dies if i let go of the throttle, when i go to turn and go back up the hill it just bogs out and dies, i think this thing has no compression or something.
i cleaned the carb, put fresh gas in, checked the oil, it seamed to have a little too much oil..., i checked the valves, and i checked the spark plug. since its smoking i assume it might need new piston rings or possibly the cylinder might need to be bored out, if so could this be causing the major loss of power? even if i switch it into neutral after rolling down the hill it will bog out, i think what keeps it running is the momentum form the hill, what could be the problem?

it should run even with bad rings. sounds like fuel prob. if the rings were that bad it would blow more smoke than you could breath.

whats the plug look like? all black and oiley?

before i cleaned the plug it was black with carbon build up, and now after i've cleaned it, and have tried to start it, it usually is wet and a little blackish yellowish

AH! I THINK I FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM... i took the cylinder head off and was lookin at the valves and the exhaust valve wasn't closing all the way! now i need to figure out why it isn't closing all the way, i might have to buy a new set of valves but we'll see

yup i was right the exhaust valve is bent, boy was it hard to get the valve out, now i have to look for a new set on ebay, also is there some kinda tool to use to make it easier to get the valves in and out?
