rear axle carrier assistance part II

Hi ! I posted a message yesterday for some help with my 83' atc250r. I have had no luck yet finding parts and I am starting to get desperate. Since I am changing the carrier , what years and models will fit in the rear swingarm? Will the bearing spacing work with my stock axle? Is there anyone willing to sell me their parts? I have a swingarm from a 81' that I purchased for parts from ebay. Anyone who knows anything about that year knows that the bearing carrier is the swingarm:doh: I am putting it back on Ebay today if no one wants it for trade by 5:00 july 1. Any help is greatly appreciated. I gotta give mad props to roadx and 200xbasket. You guys were a big help thanks. :headbang: I am on a mission to get this @&#%ing thing driving. It is sad because when I move it while working on it, I have the swing arm on a skateboard. It looks like a morphodite dirtbike.

Have you tried looking up the part numbers at www.partsfish.com they have pictures there and the part numbers for the different years. You can look at them and compare numbers. And it will tell you what years used the same parts.

Ok i just went to parts fish to look. They have the info on the 81 but not the 83. The 81 didnt use a removable carrier. They just used bearing and seals in the axle houseing itself. My 83 200x uses the same setup. Have you tried taking your old axle out yet?. Does it use a carrier?. If yours just uses the roller bearing you should be fine between the new models. And there is some one on ebay selling axle bearing sets for all the honda models. I bought a set from them for the 200x. They were $21.00 with shipping buy price and include the bearing for the front and rear axle. And they have been working great. Just a thought if you hadnt got your bearings yet.
