O.K. here it is. Need to split the cases on an 86 T-3. Got everything off and all the bolts out. Got the cases apart about 1/16th of an inch, so I know all the bolts are out. Can't get them to separate any farther. Any ideas? I don't have a crankcase splitting tool or anywhere local to buy one. The nearest Kawi dealer is 65 miles away. I am not going to pry them apart w/ a screwdriver so how do I do it?

Thanks,
Whiteman

LOL, good luck. i did just what you are wanting to do several months back. get a friend and a block of wood. have the friend hold the top half of the case and you lay the block across the crank. lightly tap the block with a hammer. switch back and forth between the crank and the output shaft. that should do it. only hold the cases about 1 inch above your work table so it does not fall when the crank slides out
