Just got a trimoto 125, I cleaned the carb and put new gas in it and it will not idle unless the slide is pulled way up with the idle screw. It acts like it is not even using the idle curcuit. and I can pull out the choke and it will stay running if I rev it a little. And it will not pull itself when I put it in gear, it quits like it is running out of fuel. Any idea what may be wrong, I thought maybe a seal or somthing in the crank case?
Did you clean the passageways with a small wire to make sure they were open?????

I did clean it two or three times and I used a small wire to get the pilot cleaned out.
Well cleaning did not work so all I can say is get a carb kit and clean it again and rebuild it.

yea, I think you are right. I set the float way up on it
and it ran a little better and I was able to adjust the low speed
idle. Do you know what these two strokes act like when the reeds
are bad?
they will not idle, and you can not adjust them. and may blow fuel out the over flow on the carb. The air blows back out the reeds that do not seal.

I am not sure if it is the reeds or needle and seat. I raised the float level and it ran better but I still had to adjust slide up to idle, although not as much. And when I put it in gear it will not pull itself and quits, but if I rev it up and drop it in gear it will take off and run as long as you don't stop, but is real boggy until you get the revs up. I can't seem to find a needle and seat unless I get it thru Yamaha at $30.00.The carb doesn't leak out the overflow either.
