I have a stud bolt, several actually, that I need to secure. Unfortunately the engine head threads have been damaged. So, the hole has been reamed out, cleaned and new stud bolts are being used.
I'm ready to use an epoxy to set the new stud bolts in place. The product of choice, INFERNO METAL REPAIR, by VersaChem. This stuff is supposed to be rated for up to 2000 degrees.
Has anybody used it and is it any good???

But I'll bet it works great - I've tried epoxy in a number of repairs,
and it worked most of the time. Never tried it on anything that gets that hot, but I've got some regular ( not high-temp ) stuff on
my pipe about 1 ft back, and it's holding ( holding an aluminum patch on ).

Well, I went back to the auto store and they were sold out. I can't wait for them to restock, so I went with the old stand by...JB Weld
We'll see how she holds up. I don't think there'll be any problems.
they do make a stud. that is two sizes. one the size for the exh. pipe. the other end next size up for head. just drill and tape.

A couple of the studs came out, so I pulled out the big guns.
Tapped it and ran a couple Helicoils  in there.
Problem solved (Should of done that the first time, but, I tried to save a couple of bucks and instead it costed me a lot of time.)
Game on now! :)
