Is there any way to adjust the chain on 83 250r? I put on a new 38 tooth sprocket on the rear. My original was a 44 tooth I took off one link, still too long. So I took off another now too short. Maybe a half link? Or is there some way to adjust? :bash: :bash: :bash: That's what I was doing in the garage before I wrote this.

Stand at the rear of the trike and look down at the swingarm and you'll see two allen head screws, back those out one or two turns (I don't take them all the way out, I don't really know what would happen if you did) then (again standing at the rear of the trike looking down at the rear of the swingarm and the axle) on the right-hand side of the swingarm there will be a serated round...thing (not sure what to call it, once you see it you'll understand) then you need to take a spanner wrench (or a large flat screwdriver if you're in a pinch, just be careful) and turn it backwards (pushing it towards the ground) doing this will push the axle back (a little) and thus tighten the chain. After you've got it as tight as you want just tighten those two allen screws in the rear of the swingarm and you should be good to go!

Thanks kevin, that is what I tried last night. She is just a little tight, I'll go get a spanner wrench to make it easier.
