There are mods out there, but finding them can be difficult. DG made a head for these, but a more feasible option would be to run an IT175 head. I picked one up on e-bay for $5. Havent run it yet, but is supposed to raise compression slightly. two types of performance exhaust, bassani, and I think DG. I have a new unused durablue +6 rear axle. A protec rear suspension kit. An IT175 boost bootle and intake. Not sure if the IT175 carb is bigger, but that may help along with a K&N filter. Not sure if a port job would be worth the money, but could be another option.

forgot to metion those, good work bigred. I have those also. Noticed a big difference in throttle response, but could have been the general tune up.

Best place to find those would be ebay.

Can a performance pipe for a YT125 work on a YT175? Will a IT pipe work?

Could a blaster jug fit on a YT175?
The head looks like it won't fit. This could open a whole new world for us then :demon: Or even a blaster motor in a yt frame!

Man I tried this ... well sorta ...
see the thing is the blaster has a long stroke with the same bore soo well theres no point unless you can change the rods.... the piston is the same bore .. the skirt is a little like maybe 1 or 2 mm longer on the blaster piston. umm so well i guess you could run a blaster piston ... i dont think it would do much though .. but i thought about a 240kit for the yt!!! .. it wont be a 240cc buy maybe like umm 220 or so!!! I got hodwy to check the cylinders and on the yt the studs are bigger .. but he said the base gaskets are almost identical... this is a possibility .. if someone could figure out a fix for the stroke... maybe like plain the head like 10mm lol i dunno.

So it needs spacer plate or does it need to be shaved, the jug?
I'm thinking about a blaster motor in a yt frame though.
Manual clutch and have a true 240 kit!!HEHE
Those 240 blasters are suppose to be fast, imagine that in a lighter frame!
The pipe might be a problem(if the motor works first), maybe a drag pipe would work.

Does the IT head fit? I looked on bikebandit and the head gaskets were different. I might of found a head for my YT if it does fit. HEHE. I'm not telling!!

Ive got an IT head, but havent tried it yet. It was so cheap I bought it. My YT hasent seen day light for 3 years. Ive been collecting parts for a full hop-up/ resto. I can dig out the IT head and take measuremeants if you really want to know, but im really interested in this blaster conversion.

Ok I looked around and found some info.
The motor for the blaster was in production as the IT175, they just put a bigger stroke in it and made it 200cc. So I quess the IT head won't work.
And it seems like all the bottom ends might have the same engine mount location. So a blaster motor or IT motor might bolt up into a YT frame hopefully.
We need to find some more info on this!
