I need a new plug for my es250. I ran the stock plug and already had it foul up in little over a month. I want to know if there is anything I can do to get the spark abit hotter.

I tried to get autozone to cross referesnce the plug number but they could not find something hotter. since there system will only do exact searches they couldn't cross reference it.

anything I can try with gapping? the carbourator has been rebuilt to stock setting but the trike still runs rich. I 've checked it 5 or six times. I also have a feeling they didn't give me the correct plug last time so I want to pick up stock and one and/or two stages hotter. Just so I have them to diagnois this problem.

its black smoke, so I don't think its oil burning. the rebuild kit I used was a stock replacement so I don't think its jetted wrong. I don't think they gave me the correct plug last time I went. the L was left off the part number.

how do I tell when the oil is fouling?

i have found that with ngks if you idle with them a lot they foul and run terrible. I like champions. Never had a problem with them.

try adjusting the nedle position in the slide.....lean it out a little bit, that might fix it.
