I was racing my much younger cousin with my 200x, he has a new Yamaha TTR 125 dirt bike. My bike is all stock except for the DG RCM aluminum pipe i just put on. We raced almost 10 times, and every time, we were completely even till 4th gear, when he started to pull away... By the end of the race, my front tire was at his back tire... It really sucked losing to a younger kid... My bike runs good now, but I've never riden another X so I dont know if it performs the way it should. Any opinions???
By the way, the pipe is really loud, but it sounds great...

don't get mad, you were racing a bike. at the dunes a near stock 250 can wipe up the whole field of tricked banshees constantly.
what gives them the advantage is the larger rear wheel and less weight (exactly same thing as quad vs trike in a drag race)

Dirtsquirt is right, trikes are cool, I love my x and my r, but there is no way to beat a bike of anywhere comparitive power. Also, four stroke technology has come a long way, and I would bet that the TTR has some of the yz 426 tech in it. His bike also prob has five gears, and a higher gear ratio. Don't forget rider size and weight either as factors. Now, with that said, anybody care to run my klx-650r dirtbike?? :headbang: when I get it it dialed in I bet not much will hang with it :D

You have a ATC500? is it a CR500 engine in a 250R or a bored 350X?

haha I'm sure Kasey could easily tromp my 650. It is a big heavy bike, I was just being funny. Although for a bone stock bike, except the sproket change, I bet it give alot of stock bikes fits. It weighs as much as my 250r though haha. I like your bike kasey, and am very partial to two strokes anyway! I would very quickly get rid of the 650 bike before my atc250r :headbang:
