how hard where they to put on...are the holes ovald any...i would say put the trike on a stand and get 2 peeps to each hit the tire on top and bottom at the same time...or you could try puttin the rear brake on then try turnign the tire...will take some effort...just think of how hard it was turned the other way in the sand....

Can you take the wheel and hub off the axle? Might be easier to work with like that...

Aftermarket aluminum rims tend to squish down around the wheel studs. You have to take and beat the wheel off of the hub. Taking the hub off of the axle makes it easier, then you can lay the wheel down and hit on the studs with a block of wood

I have to beat the wheels off of my 02 Chev 2500 HD every 6000 miles when I rotate the tires. Its the same old story of dis-similar metals bonding. Aluminum wheels on iron hubs. Im thinking of smearing axle grease on the hubs where the wheels hits to minimize it. Im assuming youve got aluminum wheels.
BTW: when I say beat the wheels im serious. I use a sledge from the back side and hit it as hard as I can on the tire. Normally takes 3 swings.

I am assuming these ARE aftermarket wheels. When you put on the lug nuts, did you reverse them? One side is tapered for use with standard Honda wheels. The OEM Honda wheels have larger holes, but have a steel insert that is countersunk for the tapered nuts. ( for wheel alignment) You MUST reverse the stock nuts or the taper will squish the aluminum and make taking off the wheel damn near impossible without some damage.
BTW you can purchase new non tapered nuts and use nice stainless steel washers so you don't gouge up the rims. Just a suggestion. :D

The stock nuts are designed to be used on the tapered end. IMHO the flat end is too small. With my new wheels that came with my paddles, I use 200x lug nuts. They have a much bigger area, and do not squish the aluminum.
