axle swap

Does anyone know if a 83 to 84 250R axle will fit on a 200X? Two weeks ago i was rideing at night and my headlight isnt very bright and i didnt see the colvert by my drive way and i smoked it in 4th gear. Bent the axle blew a tire and bent the lips on the rim.:doh: Anyways ive been checkin ebay for a cheap axle and noticed the 250R axle looks very similar. I need help bad i posted this question on 3ww but only one person answered.

i highly doubt it will fit,,, carrier widths are different ,, you can't find a 200x axle?
:shrug: i think theres lotsa them out there... did you post a classified on here and 3ww?????

They are all over on ebay but i was curious if a 250R axle would fit because they looked so similar. I did post an add on 3ww but one person answered but i decided to look for more.

An '82 axle will fit the 83 200x, not sure about other years...
