Gas Tank repair for really bad ones

Has anyone ever used fiberglass to repair the underside of a really rusty one?

You can do that. Strip the paint off, find all the rust holes, ,make sure they are all open. Sand with course sand paper. Dent the tank in a little were the rust holes are. Mixe up some fiber glass body filler. then force it into the rust holes. smooth the top. after it sets up sand and paint.
