Well as the title states I am having a bit of an issue with my 84 big red. It seems quite difficult to shift up into neutral. I was teaching my wife how to ride it and she cannot get it in N. I tried it and it seems easier to reach down and use my hand. Not really an option ya know? I have not really ridden the thing since I got it a few months ago and the oil is new. It did sit for a while b4 so is it possible it just needs a good romping on? Or is there some sort of adjustment i can make?
Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

I have an 86 Big Red that used to be hard to get out of reverse. After I switched to synthetic oil it shifts great. Made a difference in shifting all gears, it takes about half the effort as before. I would put a few miles on it and then see how it does.

Try clutch adjustment or idle? I know some of the newer Honda atv's, If idle is too high. It is hard to shift.Good luck.

Make sure the machine is fully warmed up. It hasn't exactly been that warm here in CT lately.
