Hi, just wondering what all of you ran as far as rim thickness goes. I know the Douglas rims come in .120, .160, and .190. I assume .120 is too thin and could bend pretty easily, but is .160 enough if much jumping is involved, and would it save much weight over the .190? Last of all, what is the stock rim thickness? Thanks :D

.120 is for such aplications as sand or flat track racing, .160 is for play riding and all around aplications, .190 is for hardcore riding such as big jumps or rocky situations or pro class racing. stock rim thickness varies depending on what trike they came on.

hmmmm thanks for the reply. This would be going on a 86 250r w/ probably 18" maxxis razrs would not see rock, and probably moderate jumping only no 10 foot air or anything, I do weigh 240 or so, sounds like .160 may be the way to go...

are you goign with steel or aluminum? i run red label douglass aluminum's which are 190's and are supposed to be unbendable, but i have bent one front one from racing, there on my 400ex. but i have a friend wiht the same quad and he runs the 190 steel, and hasnt even dinged them yet, if you are going with the aluminum, i would go with the 190's as they areonly a couple of ounces heavier, but the 160's will bend really easily with any hard riding at all.

i am pretty sure im running .190's since I needed 350x/250r studs.
