OK I was looking at the magazine section and was wondering, are these rear fenders just low profile 200x ones or are they from something different? The way they meet the tank just doesn't look like something that was made for a 200x. I would assume the front fender is for a 85-86 250R. Thanks

Wow thats a big picture. Now that I look more at the pic. I don't think the tank is 200x either so maybe that is not he best thing to judge it by.

so did you notice the leading front axle on sparks trike ? brake rotor on the other side too? probably a 350x setup judging from the front fender,,,,,,,,,, that 200x tank looks stock with aluminum shroud and a radius cut for wider turning radius,,,

I'd love to know what kind/size carb they have shoehorned in #11.

So Sparks is #43 in that pic? I was thinking he was #11. You have to be right about the tank though, I didn't even notice that it had shrouds.
I like the pipe on #11, it looks like the stock header was cut and a hand made exhaust was fitted.

Since they appear to be 200X fenders, I wonder if #11's tank was slid back some to allow a better turning radius, similar to the mod for 84-85 Tecates. That would account for the poor alignment of the tank & rear fenders.

you can see the notch in the tank on #11

The carb is 29mm smooth bore, the frame had to be heated and dented to make it fit. There was also no idle screw. There was a little "v" filed in the back of the slide for idle. The pipe is a Sparks which was a cut down Bassani and the rear fender is a fiberglass Sundahl unit.l

Awesome! :headbang:
Gotta live the tight space in the 200X frame. I sometimes I have an issue stuffing the stock carb in there. :lmao:
