Hello,
I am new to the site, I have owned my trike of and on for 2.5 (Long story) years and recently went out riding recently and fell in love again.
In my time owning the bike I have just beating it up and am now looking to put some life back in her. She still runs like a champ and has no issues as far as engine and trans.

I also would like any general tips, like things I should do, or things I should check for as they are common problems on my bike.
Basically any advice will be taken and appreciated.

But I do have some problems with other things. So this will essentially be 1 long post about all the things I have questions about regarding my 350x.

1. Does anyone know where I could get a Spanner wrench for adjusting the chain? For some reason this comes loose regularly and I have done some damage with the punch and hammer, so before its to late I need to get the right tool for the job.
-Also is there anything I can do to prevent it from coming loose?

2. Headlight bulbs. I have the Lenses but no bulbs, never had any when I bought it, and the other owners In the time I owned it decided to splice in a different pig tail in to try to use a different bulb due to how hard it is to find bulbs for these? So my question I, is there a different pigtail/bulb combo I can do. or do you know where I could find a pigtail and bulbs at, I would like to have lights on this thing.

3. Chain guard, for the sing arm, Mine is thrashed, Is there an aftermarket one for these that I could use because once again cant find the factory one anywhere.

4. Twist throttle, I have a tecate twist throttle on there now, but its all rigged up and I would like to add one without being ghetto. Is there a kit or one from another bike I could add maybe?

Thanks in advance, Morgan

Hope this helps.

1. You should be able to get a spanner wrench from either Dennis Kirk or Chaparral. That is where I got mine.

2. Again I think I got replacement bulbs(stock) from Dennis Kirk.

3. The one place I know of that you can get an aftermarket swingarm guard is from PRM-ATV (http://prm-atv.com/MN.asp?pg=products&grp=40&mfr=2)

Not sure about getting a twist throttle, hopefully someone else knows

You can get a twist throttle from dennis kirk for about 40 bucks. If not go to motionpro.com and they have the kits there for about the same price.

If ya wanna get some life back into it, CLEAN IT, haha. Then check all bearings, and change the oil. Clean the carb, new airfilter(or clean the old one), repack the silencer, and tighten/replace any lose or missing bolts. Thats somewhat of a cheap, easy rebuild. If you really want to get into it, get your wallet. But valve clearances and all that will need to be checked, and possibly new rings etc.

Good luck,
-Max

I am definatly going to have to check out the Dennis kirk site. sounds like they haf allot of useful things.

I have a uni filter on it and i cleaned it with my K&N cleaner, figured it would be ok.

I have been going threw all the nuts and bolts and checking that out.

I do need to change the oil. Luckily I have a manual I got with it.

I really dont know how to check seals or bearings, have any tips?

How would I go about cleaning the carb?

Might sound dumb but where is the silencer? Is it one unit in with the exhaust? and jow would I repack it? Also would an unpacked silencer allow for easier flow = more pwer?

the silencer is the "can" like thing that the exhuast comes out im pretty sure if u unpack it it gets louder and im not sure how to repack it

p.s. its much easier to order a dennis kirk catalog for this stuff easier to see everything out there i feel but it may take a month or so for it to get to you

The stock exhaust cannot be taken appart and repacked. It does not come appart. Even with a torch it wont. Only aftermarket exhausts you can.
