plastic???

[80ATC-185man]

hello, im re-building a 1980 atc-185, it eat a cam chain and killed the lower end, so im buying a used(good) bottem end for $50 and gonna rebuild the topend, andway the plastic on this machine is really nasty, its only got a few cracks(minnor) but the main problem is someone painted it white/red(not honda red) is there some way or re-finishing the plastic, some kinda spray on stuff to take off the paint but not harm the plastic??? thanks for any info.

Try brake fluid . It's not fast but it removes automotive paint off of cars. and you can still ride while it does it's job. the paint will ringcal up. or try zipstrip it's quicker but i don't know what it does to plastic.
